Somewhere Beyond the Mist

Teenage student Connie confesses to murdering her parents without any remorse. A pregnant detective, Angela, is put on the case and the portrait of a family living on the edge of society is slowly revealed. Questions of parents and children rise to the fore as Angela herself also struggles with her dementing father. The film offers a view to a side of Hong Kong that is not commonly portrayed on screen.
